Ric Flair says that he is “back in” in terms of WWE, noting that he is coming to the Royal Rumble in February. The WWE Hall of Famer appeared on (appropriately enough) Booker T’s Hall of Fame Podcast for an interview. Toward the end of the discussion, he noted that he has “made up” with WWE COO Triple H and will be attending the 2027 Royal Rumble in Glendale, Arizona.
“Well, I know — I can tell you this right now,” Flair said (per Wrestling Inc). “The road of life is going to lead me to you in Philadelphia. Then unfortunately, I’m coming to the Royal Rumble. Oh yeah, hell yeah. I know, but I mean — you’re going to see a lot of me now. I’m back in. Me and Hunter hugged, we made up. I’m back in, man. [laughs] No getting rid of Naitch.”
Flair has had a number of issues with WWE over the past few years. He claimed in April that he was not invited to WrestleMania 42 after threatening to “beat up” Ludwig Kaiser, then Tiffany Stratton’s boyfriend, during Stratton and Charlotte Flair’s feud leading into WrestleMania 41. He has since apologized for that. He also alleged that WWE cut off his deal with apparel company Roots of Fight, criticizing the decision on social media before again apologizing later.
It’s not clear what Flair means by “back in.” He was previously under contract with AEW but has not appeared for quite a while.
