The former Ridge Holland is making good progress on his recovery from injury, providing a new update on his health status via social media. Luke Menzies has been out of action since suffering an injury at the September 27 episode of TNA Impact. He had been working there through the WWE and TNA partnership. Menzies also underwent surgery on his neck in November.
Menzies posted to his Twitter account to note that he has been cleared for unrestricted physical exercise after eight weeks. He wrote:
“As of today I’m fully cleared to return to unrestricted physical exercise after my 2 level cervical disc replacement I had 8 weeks ago…UNREAL. I just need to get these screws out of my foot next. You can call me the Bionic Yorkshireman!”
Menzies was released from his WWE contract in November. He had previously been informed that his deal would not be renewed, but when he took to Twitter to express frustration with his situation, the company decided to terminate his deal early.
No word on when Menzies may be able to return to the ring yet, nor where he may do so. On behalf of 411, our best wishes to Menzies for a quick and full recovery.
