On the latest episode of Off The Top, Rikishi Rikishi shared his excitement for his daughter-in-law, Naomi, winning the WWE Women’s World Championship at Evolution and expressed his hope that she and his son, Jimmy Uso, will start a family soon. You can check out some highlights below:
On Naomi’s title: “It’s a beautiful thing. Big congratulations to my daughter-in-law, man. It’s been a long journey for her. You and I know, the fans know, if we turn back the times and the years of so forth of what work that she’s put in? She’s done it all. Tag team, single, been a champion. And now to be able to come back again and get this opportunity, I’m sure she’s very happy.
“You know, she’s a role model for a lot of the female wrestlers, especially minority wrestlers. Because sometimes you don’t get that fair play. And you know, you always got to stay focused and do you. If you got the smarts to be able to finagle through this business, then it’s going to show. But your power, no matter what you figured in — and I said this before. Your power, for you, is that in ring performance. No matter what, you go over, you’re doing the job — you continue to perfect that craft in that squared circle. Anybody has an opportunity. At any given time it, could come your way. So you know, Trin this is your time again. Run with it, enjoy it. And don’t forget to bring that belt home to Poppa.”.
On her future: “I’ve been asking her and my son, Jonathan for a minute [about starting a family]. It’s time. You know, they’ve been doing it for a minute, 17 years. And every time I see her, ‘Trin, when are you gonna bring me a grandson or granddaughter?’ So let’s hope for it. Hopefully that happens. Hopefully they kind of venture out to other things in entertainment besides professional wrestling. They’re both great actors, they’re in good shape. They definitely got a lot of character. They’re charismatic. So I think Hollywood could be calling their names.”
