Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. drew a comparison between WWE and the Presidential Fitness Test in a new interview alongside Triple H. Kennedy appeared with the WWE CCO in a new interview with NewsNation when discussing the return of the Presidential Fitness Test, which was revived last year.

During the Interview, NewsNation’s Anna Kooiman discussed how the Fitness Test was criticized for harming kids’ self-esteem. She asked what can be done to make sure the new version of the test feel empowering for kids.

Kennedy replied:

“Well you know, failure is a part of life. And all of the — listen, the great thing about WWE that’s so inspiring, is that all of these guys have failed. Every one of them has lost fights. And the trick is, how do you persuade yourself to stand back up and fight again?”

He added, “You know, that’s the beauty of WWE. You lose sometimes, but you win sometimes. If you keep sticking at it, you’re ultimately going to come out on top.”

Triple H is on the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition that was revived along with the fitness test. The test is under the purview of Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s purview as HHS Secretary.
