More ROH/NJPW G1 Supercard News: When Great Muta Surprise Was Planned, What Angelina Love, Velvet Sky & Mandy Leon Will Be Called, More
Some more news and notes from the NJPW/ROH G1 Supercard from PWInsider.
– The Great Muta surprise appearance at last night’s NJPW/ROH G1 Supercard was planned back in February by ROH.
– The plan is to call Angelina Love, Velvet Sky, and Mandy Leon The Allure. Check out pics and video of their ROH debut from last night.
– Security was extremely tight at the show last night, with former ROH wrestlers not even being allowed backstage unless they were part of the show.
– A fan in the first row was hit in the knee by a ladder during the show. He was taken to the back after the show ended.
– MANY t-shirts and other items completely sold out at the show last night.
– No word yet on when (or if) ROH will return to Madison Square Garden. The feeling is that this was a perfect storm with NJPW that allowed them to do the MSG show but that they will return to NYC, likely in smaller venues.
– The 75 foot production screens used at the show last night were ROH’s biggest ever.
