Roman Reigns Tries To Lay Out Seth Rollins With Chair Shot On WWE Raw

Roman Reigns was looking to turn a classic Shield moment against Seth Rollins on WWE Raw, but Rollins came out ahead. Monday night’s show was main evented by a face-to-face between Rollins and Reigns ahead of their World Heavyweight Championship match at WWE SummerSlam.

Reigns tried to get the crowd to acknowledge him to start the segment, only to be interrupted by Rollins. The two went back and forth on the microphone, with Reigns calling Rollins an asshole while Rollins said that’s what helps him succeed in WWE. Rollins pointed out again that he has won all their past matches.

The promo battle went back and forth until Reigns made it physical, attacking Rollins and nailing a Superman Punch and Spear. He then grabbed a chair from ringside and came in for Rollins, who was leaned into the ropes. However, Rollins was playing possum and stomped Reigns before he could nail Rollins.

You can see clips from the WWE Raw segment below. Rollins and Reigns will battle for the latter’s title on night two of SummerSlam, which takes place Sunday from US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota and airs live on ESPN Unlimited and Netflix internationally.
