Sami Zayn Appearance Set For This Week’s WWE Smackdown

Fresh off his Undisputed WWE Championship win last week, Sami Zayn will appear on this week’s episode of WWE Smackdown. WWE announced on Wednesday that Zayn will make an appearance on this week’s episode. Zayn won the title from CM Punk in an interference-heavy match on last week’s show.

WWE’s preview of the segment reads:

“In a flurry of chaos created by Kevin Owens, Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae last week, Sami Zayn took advantage and defeated CM Punk to recapture the Undisputed WWE Championship.

“Justice” has now been achieved in Zayn’s eyes, but Punk, Owens, Gunther, Finn Bálor, Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes and Johnny Wrestling are seemingly all gunning for the gold.

The self-proclaimed “Last Real Good Guy” will be on SmackDown, Friday at 8 ET/7 CT on USA.”

WWE Smackdown takes place on Friday from the Hillard Center in Corpus Christi, Texas. The updated card for the show, which airs live on USA Network in the US and Netflix internationally, is:

* Cody Rhodes sit-down interview with Michael Cole.
* Men’s Money in the Bank Qualifying Match: Competitors TBA.
* Women’s Money in the Bank Qualifying Match: Competitors TBA.
* Sami Zayn appears.
