Sami Zayn Verbally Slams CM Punk After Losing WWE Title on Monday Night Raw

Sami Zayn is the WWE Undisputed Champion no more. During last night’s WWE Raw, CM Punk made a shocking return in his hometown of Chicago, serving as a last-minute replacement for Cody Rhodes, who wasn’t cleared to compete. WWE has now released a backstage video, where the now former champion, Sami Zayn, yells and curses about CM Punk after the loss.

Zayn screams in the video about how Punk had not been seen in WWE for “months,” last appearing on the post-WrestleMania 42 edition of Raw earlier in April. He says, “I have a question. How is it that after 24 years of crawling and inching for every little inch to get the WWE Championship, after I finally get it, nine days after I get it! That piece of **** can walk back in here, after not being here for months, for months, and walks right in and gets it?! Get a chance?!”

Sami Zayn continued railing about CM Punk, “That mother****er! He has no business, no business!” The footage then shows an absolutely devastated Zayn, who goes to his knees by some equipment and starts crying.

It’s a harsh reality for the now-former WWE Champion, who won the title for the first time in his career only nine days ago at Night of Champions.
