Tonight Smackdown comes to you from somewhere in PA.
As always your hosts are Michael Cole and JBL.
We open Smackdown with the first ever “knighting ceremony.” King Booker talks about how retained against Batista like he said he would. He then names William Regal and Finlay his “Royal Knights.” Finlay and Regal agree to handle anyone who crosses the king. “All hail King Booker!” As they leave Lashley comes through the crowd and jumps Finlay. As the court beats down Lashley, Batista hits the ring to make the save. GM Teddy Long is out and makes a handicap main event of King Booker, Sir Regal and Sir Finlay vs. Batista and Lashley.
Mr. Kennedy vs. Matt f’n Hardy
The cruiserweight champion Gregory Helms is out for commentary. Hmmm… Lock up to start. Hardy reverses a whip and gets a shoulder block and headlock takedown. Hardy follows it up with a back elbow and an elbow drop for two. Matt gets a headlock again but Kennedy counters it with a back slam. Winner: Mr. Kennedy via pinfall @ around 13:00
The Summary: This was actually a pretty good match until the ending. Both guys showed that they can really go when given time in the ring.
Backstage, The Miz and Ashley talk about Layla winning the Cleavage Search. I meant Diva Search.
The Miz comes to the ring and brings out Layla. As she ties to thank everyone, Miz cuts her off to announce that he’ll make his in-ring debut on next week’s Smackdown. Great. Another diva on Smackdown!
Sylvester Turkay (w/Elijah Burke) vs. Tatanka
Lock up to start and it is clear that these two don’t like each other. Tatanka unloads on Turkay with a series of punches, which only piss Turkay off more. Tatanka off the ropes and right into a boot. Turkay with hard punches and knees then stops for a water break from Burke. Turkay with a standing sleeper and a take down for two. Turkay with a headbutt and applies a surf board. Tatanka fights out of it and ducks a roundhouse from Turkay. Tatanka with punches, and chops… and a clothesline. He has Turkay reeling but he can’t take him down. Tatanka goes up top and hits the tomahawk. He covers but Turkay’s foot is on the ropes. Tatanka questions the ref but turns right into a roundhouse and Turkay picks up the win. **
Winner: Sylvester Turkay via pinfall @ 4:20
Summary: Alright match with Turkay slowly working his way through the ranks.
We get highlights of Vickie Guerrero costing Rey his match against Chavo at Summerslam. Vickie is gonna come to the ring to address the situation next!
Preview of John Cena’s movie The Marine.
Vickie comes out to address what happened at Summerslam. She apologizes for getting involved at Summerslam and she wants to move on with her life. First, however, he wants to apologize to Rey and Chavo. Rey comes to the ring and she apologizes and they hug. Chavo comes out next and he and Vickie hug. Finally, it’s all over… or so it seems until Chavo jumps Rey. Chavo grabs a chair to hit Rey, but Vickie stops him and takes the chair away… only to swerve everyone and hit Rey herself. Oh those sneaky Guerrero’s. Chavo gives Rey a brain buster on the chair before he and Vickie leave.

Jillian has Kristal in a fireman’s carry but she slips out and rolls Jillian up for the win.*1/2

Summary: Not bad for women wrestling. Just good ol’ tna.
We get a vignette of Jimmy Wang Yang? Jimmy Yang as a cowboy? Wow…….Jimmy Wang Yang- sounds like a bad porno I saw once.
Vito vs. Sylvan
Vito with chops and early offense to start things off but Sylvan takes control with a neck snap over the ropes. Sylvan drops some elbow followed by a scoop slam and knees. Chokes Vito and hits the guillotine move named by Kevin Nash as “Squish it.” Vito comes back with elbows but Sylvan cuts him off again. Sylvan up top and a missile drop kick gets two. The King and his court go outside to regroup as we go to break…
Back from the break Lashley works over Regal with punches and kicks in the corner. Tag to Batista as he and Lashley get a double shoulder block on Regal that gets two. Suplex by Batista for two more. Another tag as Lashley comes in with a shoulder block to the gut and suplex to Regal for two again. Finlay cheap shots Lashley allowing Regal to regain control as they isolate Lashley. Quick tags as they all take turns punishing Lashley. King Booker with the scissors kick but Batista has the ref distracted so it only gets a late two count. Finlay pulls Lashley outside and sics Lil’ Bastard on him. He then sics the leprechaun on Cole. That’s right- get his ass!!! Finlay tosses him back in but King Booker has a suplex reversed into a stalling suplex by Lashley that gets two. Hot tag to Batista who cleans house. Sideslam and a jackhammer to Finlay. Regal in and he’s down. Batista slams Finlay on top of Regal. King Booker in with the scepter but he misses and Batista hits the spinebuster for the win. ***1/4
Winners: Lashley & Batista via pinfall @ 12:58
Summary: Another good outing but extremely disappointing that King Booker was pinned and by the spinebuster no less. Hopefully, his run won’t be booked as badly as Rey’s was. Other than the ending all good stuff.
The Summary: They still won’t let Eddie rest. Now they’ve brought his wife into the storyline. I wish I had a column to rant about this. As a matter of fact, I think I’ll post a blog this weekend to get this off of my chest. Be sure to check it out. Rey and Chavo have enough history between themselves to build off of. At least the WWE has found one successful formula in Booker/Lashley/Regal/Batista/Finlay. Now they need to turn it up a notch. Turkay continues to impress and the JBL/Vito segments are fun, though repetitive. I hate the Miz.
