Sol Ruca Says She’s Honored to Have Shared the Ring With Becky Lynch for Debut Main Roster Program

Newly crowned WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion Sol Ruca opens up about sharing the ring with Becky Lynch for her maiden main roster feud. At WWE Clash in Italy, Ruca did the unthinkable, as she pinned the multi-time world champion to capture her first title on the main roster.

Sol has been feuding with Becky since her transition from NXT to Monday Night RAW last month, and she earned a title match in Italy following a DQ win over The Man at SNME two weekends ago.

Speaking at the Clash in Italy review show on WWE YouTube, Sol Ruca said that beating Becky for her first title win on the main roster makes the moment even more special for her. She said it’s an honor for her to share the ring with Becky and that she has no hard feelings toward the veteran. Here’s what Sol Ruca said:

“Oh, absolutely! She pretty much founded what we see today with women’s wrestling, and she is absolutely incredible, and I totally get her perspective of these newcomers coming in and getting these opportunities when she’s been doing this and been putting in the work and whatnot. But times are changing with how NXT is bringing up people, and she is one of the greatest. I’m honored to be in the ring with her.

“I have no hard feelings toward her. I know she was a bit hostile toward me, but I get it, she’s got her own perspective, and that’s totally fine. But at the end of the day, I came out victorious, and I’m thankful that she even agreed to have this match with me… Somewhat agreed, there was a bit of pushback from her, but essentially, we got the match, and I’m thankful for that.”
