As previously reported, Steve Maclin made a surprise appearance on AEW Dynamite earlier this month. He attacked Adam Copeland, his upcoming opponent for MLP Northern Rising. During an interview with Fightful’s Overbooked, Maclin refused to divulge who let him into the building at Dynamite.
When Fightful’s Jeremy Lambert asked him to reveal who let him in, Maclin simply answered “Nope.” Speaking further on his AEW appearance, Maclin stated, “It’s fun to just kind of dive into certain situations. Taking advantage of Dynamite that night was fun for me, just because it’s an opportunity. That’s all I’ve ever asked for, and anytime I get an opportunity, I try to nail it out of the park.”
He continued on his AEW status, “It was fun to be behind the scenes and see some people back there at AEW that were like, ‘Oh, you’re here? Is this happening?’ I’m like, ‘Time will tell.'”
When Lambert joked about Maclin possibly being the newest member of The Don Callis Family, Steve Maclin responded, “I think I’d look pretty good in a suit, though. You don’t think I’d look good in a suit all dressed up?”
Maclin vs. Copeland takes place at MLP Northern Rising on October 3. The event is being held at the Mattamy Athletic Centre at Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
