As previously reported, former TNA World Champion Steve Maclin was released from TNA Wrestling after reports emerged that his release was “granted,” which suggests he voluntarily requested his release from the promotion. Maclin has now commented on the news via social media, confirming that he requested his release.
Maclin wrote, “Last week I requested my release from TNA. I put my blood, sweat, and tears into everything I’ve done over the last 5 years and I’ll always be thankful for my time there. But now, it’s time to STACK BODIES. See you soon 🥃”
Steve Maclin signed with TNA Wrestling, formerly Impact Wrestling, in June 2021. During his tenure in the promotion, he became a one-time world champion and a two-time International Champion, including becoming the inaugural International Champion.
He wrestled his last match for TNA on the May 21 edition of iMPACT!, where he lost a TNA World Title rematch to Mike Santana.
Last week I requested my release from TNA.
I put my blood, sweat, and tears into everything I’ve done over the last 5 years and I’ll always be thankful for my time there.
But now, it’s time to STACK BODIES.
