SummerSlam Night One Notes: Liv Morgan’s Gear, Nick Aldis Entrance Song, More

– Liv Morgan was victorious at WWE SummerSlam Night One, defeating IYO SKY to retain the Women’s World Championship. Her ring gear was selected by fans via a vote on WWE.com.

– Nick Aldis came out to the classic Oasis song, “Morning Glory,” for his match against Gunther tonight. Aldis suffered a defeat to Gunther, and his real-life wife, Mickie James, embraced him afterwards.

– Nattie took to X before SummerSlam to praise the growth of Avery Styles, son of AJ Styles, as well as Marcus Mathers, following their match at the GCW show on Saturday.

“Before I head to #SummerSlam I had a chance to drop in and see my friends at @GCWrestling_ and watch @MarcusMathers1 vs. Avery Styles. What a match! Marcus has grown so much as a performer and it’s inspiring to watch his evolution. And Avery Styles has IT. Passion, intensity, explosiveness, and ability. The crowd was really connecting w him. But what impressed me most with both is their mindset. Marcus and Avery are students of the game. Always learning and dialed in. That’s exactly the kind of attitude we look for at The Dungeon. The talent is there but the willingness to keep growing is what separates the good from the great.”
