Tate Wilder Reveals Myles Borne Has Taken Him Under His Wing In NXT

Tate Wilder says Myles Borne has become one of his mentors in NXT, and the two regularly train together and share feedback.

Wilder was a college football player at Arizona State, where he became known for breaking multiple face masks. WWE later invited Wilder to WrestleMania 38 and subsequently signed him to NXT through an NIL-style tryout process. On March 19, 2025, Wilder made his Evolve debut, and on April 28, 2026, he debuted on NXT.

The NXT newcomer discussed his development during an interview with All City Wrestling. He explained that several wrestlers have helped him since joining WWE. When asked who has helped him the most, Wilder named Borne. (via Fightful)

“Oh man, there’s a few. I don’t want to hurt any feelings by not saying names. In WWE, especially when I’m at in NXT, there’s a lot of — you get in these cliques with guys that are always trying to better themselves and if they notice something in your match — whether it’s a live event or TV — you have a connection with them. They’re going to point that out to you and allow you to see it from a different perspective and get better on that end. If I was going to say anyone that’s helping me out right now, I would say Myles Bourne has been a big one because we do a lot of training together. I’d probably say Myles by far right now.”

Myles Borne has also been making his own mark in NXT after splitting from No Quarter Catch Crew earlier this year. He entered NXT Heatwave as a double champion, as he held the NXT Tag Team Championship with Tavion Heights and the North American Championship. He lost both titles at the August 30 event.

The Vanity Project defeated Borne and Heights for the NXT Tag Team Titles. Jackson Drake then defeated Borne for the NXT North American Championship. Borne attacked Heights after the losses, teasing a heel turn.
