Winner: Gregory Helms via pinfall @ 6:05

Summary: They didn’t seem to work very well together and the match came off sloppy at points. Tatanka couldn’t keep up with Helms. * 1/2

Davari is backstage in Teddy Long’s office complaining about the Undertaker attacking he and Khali. Long agrees to with Davari that the match shouldn’t happen at Summerslam but it will happen next week on Smackdown!

Ashley sucks up to Luke Perry backstage while Kristal does the same only a little sexier. Kristal is so hot when she’s jealous. Whi the heck is Luke Perry? Commercials.

Idol Stevens & KC James (w/ Michelle McCool) vs. Paul London and Brian Kendrick.
London and Stevens to start. London with a headlock into a hammerlock and a drop toe hold on Stevens. London and Kendrick take turns tagging in frequently while working over the arm of Stevens. James and Stevens try to get a double team of their own but they smack each other. The second double team attempt behind the ref’s back succeeds however. London off the ropes and gets a face buster which gives him a break and he gets the hot tag to Kendrick. Kendrick cleans house! Stevens in and breaks up a suplex by Kendrick. James kicks Kendrick allowing Stevens to roll through and reverse the pin for the win.

Winner: Idol Stevens & KC James via pinfall @ 3:30

Summary: Idol Stevens and KC James kinda have that old school heel tag team feel to them and their match with London and Kendrick came off well though rushed. ** 3/4

Rey bumps Vickie and she screams at both he and Chavo.

No contest @ 12:57 Commercials.

Summary: Smart move to end this match in a no contest after silently slipping Kenndey out of the main event. Neither one of them could really afford the loss right now. ***

Finlay and Regal argue backstage as we go to commercials.

We come back and JBL and Cole run down the Summerslam card. King Booker comes down to do commentary. As the wreslters, I mean superstars come out we go to more commercials.

Bobby Lashley & Batista vs. William Regal & Finlay
We join the match in progress with Batista working Finlay in the corner. Tag to Lashley and Finlay promptly tags in Regal. Lashley with rights and counters a clothesline with a shoulder block. Lashley with elbows and a slam. He goes off the ropes but Finlay pulls them down flipping Lashley outside. Finlay fetches Lil’ Bastard and slams him on Lashley as JBL goes on a 2 minute rant about leprechauns and their mating rituals. Back inside, Finlay with a sleeper, then a short end clothesline. Finlay and Regal tag frequently while isolating Lashley with stiff elbows and uppercuts. Finlay with rear chin lock but Lashley battles out and hits a belly to belly. Regal just barely interferes in time to cut Lashley off and prevent the tag to Batista. Regal in now an locks in a full nelson but Lashley fights back but gets cut off from the tag again. Finlay back in and delivers some more stiff uppercuts. He gets a headlock and taunts Batista until Lashley escapes and gets the HOT tag to Batista who cleans house. It breaks down with all four men in the ring and Batista and Lashley hit double spears on Finlay and Regal! (And that is our Smackdown! Summary slam of the night!) Spinebuster to Regal by Batista and that’s all.

Winner: Batista & Bobby Lashley via pinfall @ 9:58

Summary: They should’ve given this match more time to develop. They were on to something good.

After the match Batista grabs the mic and thanks King Booker for holding the title for him.

The Summary: Decent show but there is almost no time left to build for the Booker/Batista match at Summerslam. It’s a little disappointing how they slipped Kennedy out of the main event but we knew it was coming. The whole Chavo/Rey thing is becoming less and less interesting as we’ve seen similar feuds plenty of times before. But hopefully, Undertaker/Khali feuds ends next week.
