It took a ref bump and the Sisters of Sin to do it, but Thekla retained the AEW Women’s World Championship at AEW Revolution. Thekla defeated Kris Statlander at Sunday’s PPV in a two of three falls match order to hold onto the title.

Thekla got the first fall as she rolled Statlander up and bridged into a pin. Statlander battled back and hit Sunday Night Fever to tie them up and send them into the climactic third fall.

The final fall saw the two battle back and forth after a ref bump. Statlander got a pinfall but the ref was still down. The Sisters of Sin came down and Statlander fought them off, grabbing a strap from them. She went to hit Thekla with it but the ref was up and stopped her. Thekla hit a spear and two stomps to get the win. You can see highlights from the AEW Revolution match below.

Thekla’s title reign stands at 33 days. She won the title from Statlander in a strap match on the February 11th episode of AEW Dynamite.
