Three Matches Announced for NWA Empowerrr

On Monday, the NWA announced its next female-led Empowerrr event, and some of the talent who would be involved. It’s a copromotion with Kylie and Kenzie Page’s Kross Fire Wrestling, so of course they’re involved, but other names mentioned included NWA Women’s World Champion Tiffany Nieves, NWA World Women’s Television Champion Gisele Shaw, and Sirena Evil.

In an odd press release received by PWInsider, in which the event name “NWA Empowerrr” is replaced by a string of question marks, the Paige sisters’ wrestling match was revealed:

“…the NWA World Tag Team Champions The Country Gentlemen, brothers, face the NWA World Women’s Tag Team Champions Pretty Empowered, sisters in an explosive Champions vs Champions Battle of the Sexes! The last time these sibling duos clashed in an all/out war of the territories, The Gents emerged victorious. But with a hometown advantage for the Paige Sisters at [NWA Empowerrr], they have every intention of proving once-and-for-all who the NWA’s most dominant tag team champion siblings are!”

The battle of the sexes element makes this Empowerrr not an exclusively female wrestling event like its predecessor.

On the NWA live event site, two other matches are announced: NWA World Women’s Television Champion Gisele Shaw vs Mackenzie Morgan, and Carson Drake vs Effy.

The event will stream live on YouTube Aug. 28th, at 8 p.m. EST for free.
