More Details On Thunder Rosa vs. Ivelisse Match On AEW Dynamite, Whether It Turned Into A Shoot

As previously reported, there have been a lot of rumors surrounding the NWA Women’s title match between Thunder Rosa and Ivelisse on Wednesday’s edition of AEW Dynamite, with reports suggesting that the match broke down after both women started legitimately going after each other.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, that wasn’t the case at all. He notes that sources within AEW told him that the two women were never uncooperative with each other during the match, and that the stiff shots were included simply to try to get the match over with fans.

PWInsider also reports that the taped match received no major edits before the show aired, with one source saying the only moment of any potential issue being discussed came when Ivelisse may not have been selling Thunder Rosa’s offense. The source also claimed that Ivelisse not being well-liked by some people may have played into that speculation.

The two women are set to be back in the ring together next Wednesday when Thunder Rosa teams with AEW Women’s Champion Hikaru Shida to take on Ivelisse and Diamante.
