A new report from Body Slam.net indicates that former TNA World Champion and behind-the-scenes producer Sami Callihan has been working backstage at recent AEW events. According to the report, Callihan started working as a producer backstage for AEW, starting with the Beach Break edition of Dynamite earlier this month.
Additionally, he reportedly worked the live edition of AEW Collision last Saturday in Roanoke, Virginia. He was also at last night’s Dynamite in Boston at the MGM Music Hall, and he’s expected to be working tonight’s Collision TV taping at the same venue.
Body Slam notes that it’s believed that Callihan is currently working in AEW without a contract. Callihan previously exited his behind-the-scenes role with TNA Wrestling last month. He retired from in-ring competition last year following his loss to Mike Santana in a Street Fight at TNA Emergence.
Callihan revealed that he was fired by TNA Wrestling, initially expected to be offered a creative role by the company before his termination.
