Tommy Dreamer On Darby Allin Attacking Death Riders on AEW Dynamite, Swerve Strickland’s Promo Flub
Tommy Dreamer recently shared his thoughts on an element of the Death Rider on AEW Dynamite that didn’t necessarily make sense to him. Wednesday’s show saw Darby Allin attack the group following the promo between Jon Moxley and Orange Cassidy, and Dreamer suggested that it might be making things a bit too muddled on the latest Busted Open After Dark while weighing in on some other elements of the show too. You can check out a couple of highlights below, courtesy of Wrestling Inc:
On Allin attacking the Death Riders during the segment: “Darby jumping from anywhere is gonna get a reaction, but what did the bad guys really do to deserve that tonight? I know they’ve caused problems before, but they didn’t do much in that [show]. So then you have to be careful — in a real world, are we gonna start booing [because] Darby attacked my [bad] guys?”
On Strickland saying in his segment that he was in Stamford, not Bridgeport: “That happens, man. He can get a pass, but you can’t say if you’re the top babyface, the wrong town. You’ll probably get one pass because you heard the people go ‘ooooo’ and they groaned for you. I’m happy he didn’t sell it, but then there was this weird Bridgeport chant, which is cool, but again, you’ve got to think you can’t make those mistakes. When the game’s on the line, you can’t miss that free throw and cost your team the game.”
