Tony Khan Confirms Jack Perry Has Been Suspended From AEW
Tony Khan confirmed at the AEW All Out post-show media scrum that Jack Perry has been suspended from AEW and hasn’t been at AEW events since All In. Perry and CM Punk were involved in a backstage altercation at AEW All In, leading to Punk being fired by AEW.
“He’s been suspended indefinitely,” Khan said (h/t Fightful). “We’ve suspended everybody in that investigation and took further action after that based on what happened and came out of the investigation. We suspended Jack as a participant in an incident backstage, and Jack hasn’t been around. That’s all I can say about it. At the time, we did suspend him and he hasn’t been at AEW since AEW All In.”
Khan also thanked Punk for his contributions, but wouldn’t comment on if he has a non-compete clause following his release.
