Trey Miguel Comments On Re-Signing With TNA, Thanks Supporters

Trey Miguel is feeling the love after he made his return to TNA following the drama over his AEW signing and exit, and he posted to Twitter to comment on his return. As reported on Thursday night, Miguel made his return on TNA Impact, competing in the Feast Or Fired match and capturing a briefcase. It was reported that he has re-signed with TNA as well.

The return capped off a chaotic week for Miguel, which started when he and the rest of the Rascalz signed with AEW. However, Miguel announced on Sunday that he was “taking a hiatus” from wrestling. The announcement came on the news that he had already been released from AEW over comments he had made back in 2020.

Miguel posted to Twitter on Friday after last night’s return to comment on coming back after announcing his hiatus days before. He wrote:

“I planned to step away from wrestling after the week I went through. It was really hard on me mentally and emotionally. I didn’t think I could do it anymore. Thank you to everyone who had my back, especially @ThisIsTNA. It was hard not to quit. But we can’t give up. Thank you God.”

As noted, the decision to release Miguel came from above AEW and were in relation to a homophobic comment he made back in 2020. Miguel had immediately apologized for the comment after he was called out for it back at the time. There is said to be frustration in AEW over the decision to release Miguel, who had a good relationship with the company.
