Trick Williams Recaptures US Title At Sunday Night’s Main Event

Trick Williams is once again the WWE United States Champion, winning the title back at Sunday Night’s Main Event. Sunday Night’s show saw Williams get his rematch with Baron Corbin for the title. Williams got his title shot after Lil Yacthy survived a five minute challenge with Corbin due to Corbin’s own arrogance.

The match between Williams and Corbin went 11 and a half minutes, with Corbin doing everything he could to get an advantage over his rival. The two went back and forth with Corbin trying to grab the US Championship belt late in the match so he could nail Williams with it. However, Yachty grabbed the title to stop Corbin and Williams hit a Trick Shot for a nearfall. The ref was distracted by checking on Yachty, allowing Corbin to clock Williams with the title but he could only get a two-count. Williams was then able to counter the End of Days and hit another Trick Shot for the win and title.

You can see clips from the Sunday Night’s Main Event match below. This marks Williams’ second reign with the tie and ends Corbin’s reign at 36 days. He beat Williams for the title at WWE SummerSlam.
