Triple H Comments on CM Punk Winning the WWE Title on Raw, Shares Photo

WWE has a new Undisputed Champion. CM Punk won the WWE Title last night on Raw, beating Sami Zayn to win the belt. WWE Chief Creative Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque later commented on CM Punk winning the title via social media.

Triple H referenced CM Punk winning the WWE Title from John Cena 15 years ago in the same venue at WWE Money in the Bank 2011. The WWE executive wrote, “Same building, 15 years later. Different opponent, same result. @CMPunk is the Undisputed @WWE Champion!!! #AndNew”

The WWE Hall of Famer also shared his customary pointing photo with Punk after the match. Punk served as a last-minute surprise replacement for Cody Rhodes. Earlier in the night, Raw GM Adam Pearce revealed that Rhodes wasn’t cleared to compete. As a result, Punk replaced Rhodes against Sami Zayn, defeating him to win the belt.
