Update on Becky Lynch’s WWE Storyline Status

For the past year, Becky Lynch has helped to generate a lot of heat, particular in her couples feud with husband Seth Rollins against CM Punk and AJ Lee. Lee’s comeback was as strong as fans wanted it to be in large part because fans longed for her to shut “The Man” up. Lynch generally works best as an outspoken character, whether for good or evil, and now comes word that her status has officially shifted in that regard.

Sportskeeda is reporting, via PWInsider Elite, that internally, Lynch is now being listed as a babyface. Her character remains a fairly consistent trash-talker, but generally whether that behavior gets cheered or booed depends on whom she’s up against. Lynch originally turned heel on this run by betraying Lyra Valkyria, but now that Lyra has become a heel, that no longer feels like unforgivable behavior.

The change in Lynch’s status apparently came after she assisted Stephanie Vaquer against Liv Morgan in Chile. If Lynch continues to go against the conniving Judgment Day frontwoman, she can probably count on a whole lot of fan support. Whoever comes out the eventual winner in the ring, Lynch is a much more powerful trash-talker, and few of her foes are more deserving of the brunt of that than Liv.
