Wrestlevotes Radio on Fightful Select cites a city official as a source in noting that WWE is in active discussions with Nashville, Tennessee about potentially taking place there in 2028.

The outlet notes that Nashville is set to open the new Nissan Stadium in 2027 for the Tennessee Titans, and that the negotiations have been going strong, with city officials hopeful for an agreement and announcement soon. Sources in the city said that they were “at the finish line.”

The news comes after it was reported yesterday by Bryan Alvarez that Nashville placed a $3.5 Million bid for WrestleMania 44. Nick Khan had previously teased an announcement on the horizon at an internal TKO town hall, saying, “Wait until you hear the announcement on where we’re going to be for WrestleMania in 2028.”

As a caveat to this, it should be said that Nashville would not be the first city to claim that they were at the finish line for WrestleMania, and it has not always happened. It should also be said that New Orleans and Indianapolis are already owed future WrestleManias. WrestleMania 42 was supposed to take place in New Orleans before WWE moved it to Las Vegas, and the company announced a partnership with Indianapolis in 2024 that committed hosting WrestleMania, Royal Rumble, and SummerSlam there.
