Vince McMahon Once Screamed After Tyson Fury Was Not Introduced as Lineal World Heavyweight Champion on WWE TV

Former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon was apparently pretty high on boxing legend Tyson Fury during the late 2010s. So much so that McMahon even screamed when former WWE backstage personality Renee Young, i.e., AEW’s Renee Paquette, omitted a specific line while introducing Tyson Fury.
In the latest Q&A session with Fightful Select, a fan asked Sean Ross Sapp about an instance of Vince McMahon having a meltdown backstage, similar to the one he had when Hulk Hogan took off the pirate outfit at WrestleMania 37. The Hulkster hosted the event in 2021 alongside Titus O’Neil.
Sapp shared that McMahon “screamed and raved” after Renee didn’t refer to Tyson as the lineal World Heavyweight Champion on live TV. Fury made his WWE debut during the October 4, 2019, edition of SmackDown. He attended the event as a fan but then stared down former Universal Champion Braun Strowman during his match.
After the bout, The Monster Among Men threw one of his opponents, Dolph Ziggler, at Fury. Fury and Strowman would ultimately lock horns at that year’s Crown Jewel Premium Live Event in Saudi Arabia.
The ill-received match saw Fury win via countout. Fury’s last appearance in WWE came at Clash at the Castle 2022, when he knocked out Austin Theory and later stared down Roman Reigns before singing a rendition of American Pie alongside Drew McIntyre.
