More Details on Why AEW Refused to Air Jacques Rougeau’s Tribute Video at Redemption

All Elite Wrestling honored The Rougeau Wrestling Dynasty at the Bell Centre at last weekend’s Redemption pay-per-view in Montreal.

However, things may not have gone as planned, as Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter yesterday that Jacques Rougeau threw a “tantrum” after the company refused to air his 90-second tribute video.

This afternoon, Mike Johnson of PWInsider confirmed the story and further reported that the major reason why AEW refused to air the video was the presence of footage of Jacques wrestling Hulk Hogan at a WCW house show. The company couldn’t air it, as WWE owns WCW.

The tribute segment featured Jacques and Raymond Rougeaus, who touched on their family’s legacy, before Rocky Romero interrupted the proceedings, only to be beaten down by the Rougeaus.

The Rougeau family celebration was in full swing!
