At last Sunday’s AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2026, Will Ospreay beat Swerve Strickland in the finals of the Owen Hart Tournament. He will now go on to challenge for the AEW World Title at All in London in August. Ospreay commented on the milestone on his social media, saying it felt like a weight’s been lifted off of him.
Ospreay wrote on the tournament victory and what’ ahead for him, “This moment felt a weight lifted. Knowing this Wednesday a much heavier weight will be on my shoulders that I’ll need to carry for 2 months to Wembley Stadium. It’s coming home.”
Ospreay challenges for the AEW World Title, currently held by Maxwell Jacob Friedman (MJF), at AEW All In London at Wembley Stadium. The event takes place on August 30 and will be broadcast live on pay-per-view.
