Willow Nightingale Would Love To See AEW Trios Titles Become Mixed Titles

Willow Nightingale says that she thinks it would be fun to see the AEW World Trios Championships become mixed gender titles. The former AEW Women’s World Champion spoke with Mark It Down at Tropicon in New York and was asked what she thought about the potential for more intergender action in AEW.

Nightingale has been part of mixed tag team matches on AEW TV and has spoken about how doing intergender matches on the indies helped her as a performer. She noted that she thinks making the Trios Titles mixed titles would be interesting, but has no idea if it will ever happen. You can see highlights below:

On Which Matches She’d Love To Have In AEW:

“I’ve yet to have a singles match with Megan Bayne on AEW television. I’ve wrestled her twice on the indies before. But we’ve had many tag encounters, and I think we would beat the heck out of each other and it would be cool.”

On the Possibility Of More Intergender Matches:

“I think there’s definitely room for more mixed tags. I keep seeing online, people advocating for the Trios Title to become a a mixed title. And I’m like, that would be really interesting and I think very fun. And I would love to be on that because then I actually have a chance at becoming an official Grand Slam champ. Not only that though, it would be fun. I would have a lot of fun with that. But will it happen? Who’s to say? Not I. Same thing where I’m like, ‘It’s not in my control but I’ll pitch it!'”
