Willow Nightingale became the first woman to become a Triple Crown Champion at AEW Redemption, an accomplishment she described as “surreal” after the show. Nightingale defeated Thekla to win the AEW Women’s World Championship. She is the only person to have won that title, the AEW TBS Championship, and the AEW Women’s Tag Team Championship.

Nightingale was asked about the achievement on the Redemption post-show media scrum. She noted how quickly that came together for her and what it means to be the first to do so. You can see highlights below:

On Being AEW Women’s Triple Crown Champion:

“Yeah, I mean — fascinating thing about this too is, that has all been accomplished within this year. I won the TBS Title two years ago for the first time, but I held Tag and TBS earlier this year. Now this, the World Title, it’s really a whirlwind.

On Being the First To Do So:

“I love AEW because now, it feels a lot more like we’ve got our legs, we’re more established. But it still feels exciting and new, like this is the beginning of something so much more, right? Like in my head, this is gonna go on and on. And this is still like, ‘We’re just getting started!’ And to be somebody who’s kind of helping lay down that foundation and hitting these marks and achievements at such a crazy awesome time… I’m beside myself. Just like, ‘Oh my god!’ It’s surreal. Very, very surreal in the best way possible.”
