Willow Nightingale has provided a bit of an update on her hand injury, confirming it’s broken and that she’ll still compete at AEW All In. As noted yesterday, Tony Khan confirmed that Nightingale suffered a hand injury and still intends to compete against Mercedes Mone at the PPV.

Nightingale spoke with POST Wrestling’s John Pollock on Friday and was asked about her hand, which was what appeared to be in a cast.

“Um, well she’s broken,” Nightingale said. “I have to go get an X-ray later today to figure out the severity of that. Because that would then inform just how guarded it has to be on Sunday. Whether I’m able to get any kind of like, wrist flexibility or just hands, or if I’m going to kind of have a situation like this where I’m just a stump. So we’ll see, we’ll see.”

“But the heart is good,” she continued. “She’s full of love and passion, and ready to fight. There was a second — Mercedes, right? Mercedes — angry, mean woman, stomping on it, throwing the title at it, hitting it with a chair. That part? Disheartening, but not surprising. Yeah.”

Nightingale will defend the AEW Women’s World Championship against Mone at AEW All In, which takes place on Sunday at Wembley Stadium live on PPV, HBO Max in the US, and MyAEW elsewhere.
