AEW President Tony Khan has confirmed that Women’s World Champion Willow Nightingale is indeed injured ahead of her match at All In: London.

As noted, Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer reported to his X subscribers following last night’s Dynamite that Nightingale is dealing with a legitimate hand injury. Nightingale was viciously attacked by Mercedes Moné during a backstage segment on this week’s Dynamite. Mercedes targeted Willow’s left hand, and the champ was seen grimacing in pain in the immediate aftermath.

At the pre-All In: London media call this morning, Tony Khan confirmed media reports, admitting that Willow is currently dealing with a broken hand. However, he added that despite the injury, Willow is determined to compete at Wembley Stadium this Sunday.

Here’s what Tony Khan said [via Fightful]:

“That’s true. Willow’s hand is injured. It was a late change. Sometimes, when you’re going into wrestling tapings and shows, you have ideas and an outline. You come in, and you have something happen like that, with Willow’s hand being broken on the day you’re filming Dynamite and Collision; that’s a major change. The team did a great job in the situations yesterday. I had plans for Willow yesterday that I had to change based on the injury. It is the case that Willow is injured and will be wrestling with the injury. Expect to see Willow Nightingale at AEW All In. Yes, she has a hand injury, but she really wants to wrestle Mercedes, and she really wants to wrestle at All In and defend that world championship. I know Willow Nightingale is a fighter; she’s proved by holding multiple championships in AEW that she’s a fighting champion.”

Willow Nightingale captured the Women’s World Championship from Thekla at last month’s Redemption pay-per-view. She will defend the title against Mercedes Mone this Sunday.
