WWE SummerSlam ticket sales have been a source of concern within the company for a number of weeks, according to a new report. As reported earlier today, night one of the PLE has ticket sales sitting at 22,069 with 5,718 tickets still available, while night two is at 23,809 distributed.
The report noted that 2,025 tickets have been returned to the map for night one since the most recent update three days ago. WrestleVotes reports that the tickets sales have been a “hot topic” in WWE Headquarters. The situation is not said to be a new issue, but rather one that’s “been a concern internally for weeks.”
Ticket sale numbers were also a topic of conversation for WrestleMania 42, though the show proved to be among WWE’s most profitable regardless of total ticket sales numbers.
WWE SummerSlam takes place on August 1st and 2nd from US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The show will air live on ESPN Unlimited in the US and on Netflix internationally.
