An update on WWE’s potential plans for Maxxine Dupri moving forward. As noted previously, Dupri turned heel on last week’s episode of Monday Night RAW.
Last week’s episode of WWE RAW saw The Street Profits defend the World Tag Team Championship against Bron Breakker and Austin Theory of The Vision. During the match, Logan Paul got involved as he slipped his infamous brass knuckles to his teammates. However, before Bron or Theory could use it, Angelo Dawkins got hold of them. But before he could use it to his advantage, Maxxine Dupri appeared in the ring and low-blowed him, paving the way for Theory to secure a pinfall and regain tag team gold.
Dupri and Theory shared a passionate kiss after the match, cementing the former’s entry into The Vision. In the latest Fightful Select Q&A session, a fan asked Sean Ross Sapp whether Maxxine would return to being a valet, expressing their concern about her being used in the ring regularly moving forward.
Sapp said that he has been informed by WWE sources that the plan is for Dupri to be more of a valet than an in-ring competitor. He further added that while she could still wrestle here and there, the 29-year-old would largely be used in the capacity of a valet.
Maxxine Dupri started her WWE career as a valet but ultimately transitioned into an in-ring performer. She has been featured prominently on RAW over the past year, working feuds with Becky Lynch and Nattie and even capturing the Women’s Intercontinental Championship last winter.
