WWE seems to have spoiled the reveal of who helped Jacy Jayne retain the NXT Women’s Championship at No Mercy. As noted, Jayne retained the title against Lola Vice after a masked individual attacked Vice, which allowed Jayne to get the pinfall victory. The results article on WWE.com seems to have revealed that identity in an original version that has since been edited.
As NXT fans, might suspect, the original text of the article read, “Jacy Jayne retained the NXT Women’s Championship thanks to a shocking assist from Lainey Reid.” The article has since been edited to read in the same line:
“Jacy Jayne is still the NXT Women’s Champion, but not without some controversy.”
Reid has been getting attempting to ally herself with Jayne for some time now on NXT TV.
