Netflix has officially announced the return of WWE: Unreal, with the behind-the-scenes series set to premiere its third season on July 21.

WWE: Unreal has become a key part of Netflix’s growing relationship with WWE, offering fans a closer look at the creative process and behind-the-scenes events. The series follows WWE talent, executives, and production staff as it documents the build-up to major storylines, premium live events, and career-defining moments.

Season two wrapped up at SummerSlam, where Cody Rhodes defeated John Cena to capture the Undisputed WWE Championship. Following the PLE, Cena transitioned back into a babyface role and continued his farewell tour through the remainder of the year. The WWE Hall of Famer’s retirement journey included several final appearances and matches before ultimately ending with his last bout against Gunther in December.

Netflix revealed the premiere date alongside a brief description of what fans can expect from the new season on X.

“OFFICIAL: @WWE: Unreal Season 3 will release on Netflix on July 21. John Cena says goodbye, a fan favorite returns, and the next generation of WWE Superstars rise to the occasion. Buckle up 🔥”

Given the timeline outlined in Netflix’s preview, Cena’s farewell run is expected to be one of the central stories covered throughout the new season.

Ahead of the Season 3 premiere, fans can catch up on previous episodes now available on Netflix. The first two seasons of WWE Unreal are currently streaming in full on the platform.
