Zilla Fatu Turns Down BirthRight Offer Again, Laid Out On WWE NXT

Zilla Fatu shot down another “invitation” to join BirthRight on this week’s WWE NXT and paid the price in the form of a beatdown. Tuesday night’s episode saw Charlie Dempsey come out to the ring and talk about how he is underappreciated in NXT before he talked up his second-generation stable and called out Fatu, who rejected an offer to join them last week.
Dempsey spoke about how the group wants to make the business what it should be and that while he’s the best grappler in the company, he is unappreciated and the group is made to look like fools. He said that he refused to be treated like a joke and complained about the company giving football players shots over actual wrestlers. He then called Fatgu down and said that they can turn him into a superstar, pointing out their similar backgrounds as guys who have lived in their fathers’ shadows.
Fatu came out said that a lot of what Dempsey said was true and that he appreciated the invite, but isn’t part of a group so his answer was “Hell no.”: That led to the faction attacking Fatu, who held his own until Arianna Grace distracted him and Lexis King hit him in the back with a chair. The group powerbombed Fatu through the chair and stood over him to close the segment.
