Zoey Stark Reveals New In-Ring Name Post-WWE Release

Former WWE Superstar Zoey Stark is gearing up to start a fresh chapter of her career with a new name and moniker. Earlier today, Stark took to social media to detail her journey from suffering a devastating knee injury last summer to her path to full recovery, her recent WWE release, and the road ahead.

Stark suffered a knee injury during a Triple Threat Match against Kairi Sane and Rhea Ripley on Monday Night RAW last May. She suffered ACL, MCL, and meniscus injuries and was consigned to the bench for the rest of the year. Stark received her medical clearance in late February. However, she was handed her release from the company during the post-WrestleMania 42 cuts last month.

In the video, Stark described wrestling as her escape, something she was born to do. She described the current setback as an opportunity for her to do things her own way, hailing it as a fresh start.

Toward the end of the video, the former WWE Superstar revealed that she’d be wrestling as “Zoey Serrano” moving forward. She also revealed her new nickname, i.e., “The Purist.”

“This ring, This is my home. This is where I live. This is what I love to do. When I was kid, it was my escape through any type of hardship. Put on wrestling; I can escape from the world and just be in that brand with whoever I’m wanting. I made it come true. Now, imagine what it would be like when my 90 days are over,” she wrote.
