UPDATE 3: Well, we know he’s at the Rumble. Vince McMahon just posted the following pic of the Rock and his mother to Twitter:

Thanks to Nate for the heads up on that.
UPDATE 2: WWE.com has taken things a step further and published an article on The Rock showing up in Philadelphia.
The report even teases that Rock could be a surprise entrant in the Rumble, writing: “As the WWE Universe knows, the Royal Rumble Match is known for its surprise entrants and there would be no such appearance greater than the former WWE Champion, himself. Will we see The Rock appear as one of those possible surprises?”
The report also questions if The Rock has unfinished business with WWE world champion Brock Lesnar: “Or perhaps he has something else planned for the event if he does indeed show up? Does The People’s Champion perhaps have unfinished business with WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar that Rock will look to resolve live tonight in Philly?”
UPDATE 1: The WWE is now teasing that The Rock will make an appearance at the Royal Rumble. Below is a tweet from the official WWE Twitter account showing that The Rock is in Philadelphia.

– Other WWE Superstars have also commented on and referenced The Rock possibly appearing:
.@TheRock doesn't scare me or @RusevBUL! He is just another pathetic American too busy stuffing his face with cheesesteaks in Philadelphia!

ORIGINAL: As reported yesterday, the Rock posted a picture to Instagram of him being in Philadelphia. This led to speculation that the Great One will be appearing at the Royal Rumble today. The Wrestling Observer Radio reports that Rock will in fact be appearing at the PPV.
The site has no details on what the Rock will be doing at this time. While there were rumors of him facing Rusev at WrestleMania (based on their interaction on Raw late last year), the site says this is not in the current plans for the show.
