Hulk Hogan and Gawker Go Back to Court This Week
May 24, 2016 | Posted by
– Gawker and Hulk Hogan will be back in a courtroom tomorrow. The New York Post reports that a hearing is scheduled for tomorrow regarding the outlet’s appeal of the $140 million budgment against them for posting snippets of Hogan’s sex tape with Heather Clem, filmed within his knowledge, as part of a story.
Hogan has filed a motion ahead of the hearing asking that the appeals process not move ahead unless Gawker puts $150 million between defendants Gawker, Nick Denton and A.J. Daulerio in escrow so that Hogan will be paid the judgment he won should they lose the appeal.
