Dan Henderson Has No Problem With Michael Bisping

In an interview with MMA Junkie, Dan Henderson (32-14 MMA, 9-8 UFC) said that while he doesn’t like the trash talk of UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping (29-7 MMA, 19-7 UFC), he has no problem with him as a person. Here are highlights:

On if they could ever be friends: “It’s not like I dislike the guy. I’m not a fan of guys who run their mouths like he does. I don’t know him personally. So who knows? It’s nothing personal at all. This is all business and a sport to me. I’m going to go out there – even if I like the guy – I’m going to go out there and try to knock his head off because that’s what we do.”

On the purpose of the fight: “That’s basically what this fight is – it’s a fight the fans wanted to see. We get to do it again, and hopefully I can come close to doing what I did last time to him.”

On wanting the title: “It’s something that’s been on my bucket list before I retired – to get a (UFC) belt. I didn’t think I’d have this opportunity again, so I’m every thankful and making sure I make the most of the opportunity.”
