Stargirl is coming to The CW and DC Universe early next year, and the first trailer has been released online. You can check out the video below, which was first aired during Tuesday night’s Crisis Aftermath special with Kevin Smith and offers our first look at Brec Bassinger as Courtney Whitmore.

The series was originally scheduled just for DC Universe, but it was revealed in late November that the show would also air on The CW. The series also stars Amy Smart, Luke Wilson, Trae Romano, Neil Jackson, Hunter Sansone, and Joel McHale; it arrives on The CW and DC Universe in spring of 2020.

Created by Geoff Johns based on his own character, Stargirl follows high school sophomore Courtney Whitmore (Brec Bassinger) as she inspires an unlikely group of young heroes to stop the villains of the past. It also stars Amy Smart as Barbara Whitmore, who — now that teenage Courtney is older — is jumping back into the workforce and striving to be the best mother and provider she can be to her daughter, her new husband (Wilson), and her new stepson (Romano).
