Anya Taylor-Joy Has Seen The New Mutants Final Cut, Says Director Is Very Happy With It
The New Mutants film is finally coming out in April, and Anya Taylor-Joy says she’s seen the final cut of the film. Taylor-Joy, who plays Magik (aka Ilyana Rasputin) in the X-Men horror film, spoke with Collider for a new interview while promoting Emma. She noted that after the film’s long-delayed post-production process, it’s nice to actually see the film on its way out.
“I have seen the final cut of the movie,” Taylor-Joy said (per JoBlo). “Which is really nice cause Josh Boone is really happy with it, and it was just nice to get the gang all together again…It felt like this imaginary friend that you keep telling people is real, but other people haven’t seen it yet. Now I’m like ‘I told you! It’s a real thing.”
The film stars Taylor-Joy alongside Maisie Williams, Charlie Heaton, Blu Hunt, Henry Zaga, and Alice Braga. Boone co-wrote and directed the film, which is set to release on April 3rd.
