Rosario Dawson Cast As Ahsoka Tano In The Mandalorian Season 2
Ahsoka Tano is finally making her live-action debut as part of season two of the Disney+ series The Mandalorian. /Film reports that Rosario Dawson has been cast in the role, which was originally created for Star Wars: The Clone Wars in 2008. Tano is a former apprentice of Anakin Skywalker who eventually left the Jedi Order and became a fugitive after Order 66. The Mandalorian is set after the events after Return of the Jedi.
Ashley Eckstein previously voiced Ahsoka Tano in The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels. Dave Filoni, who co-created Tano, is the writer, producer and director of The Mandalorian. Jon Favreau is the executive producer and showrunner. Dawson has expressed interest in playing Ahsoka Tano in the past, as a fan gave the suggested and she reacted enthusiastically.

The Mandalorian‘s production wrapped prior to the coronavirus pandemic, so it’s still set to debut on Disney+ later in October.
