Danny Limelight Feels Motivated By WWE’s Recent Changes
Danny Limelight’s been watching the changes that have taken place in WWE, and he says it’s motivating to him. The MLW star, who has previously appeared on AEW Dark, spoke with SHAK Wrestling for a new interview and discussed the changes WWE has seen since Vince McMahon exited. You can check out some highlights below, per Fightful:
On the recent changes in WWE: “I’m motivated, you know? It makes me hungry, because now there’s new life in a company that I grew up watching. I have a lot of friends that work there. I heard some things back in the day, especially when all the budget cuts were happening, and people were losing their jobs and stuff like that, unfortunately. But now I see the shift, and it’s real easy to see the shift in the last two-and-a-half weeks, how different things are looking. I’m excited, I’ve always wanted to wrestle for WWE. That obviously was my dream job as a kid, I want to wrestle at Madison Square Garden. So, I’ve been talking to Slice Boogie about my ideas, where I stand, where my head is at for when our contracts finish, and what I want to do.”
On being something that most major companies don’t have: “I think that me and Slice have something that NXT doesn’t have, that WWE doesn’t have right now, and I think that we can do some fun, we can have some fun wherever we go, even if we went to IMPACT or AEW. One thing with AEW is that they have Santana and Ortiz, you know, so it would be kind of the same thing. You know, that’s, that’s my only concern. Unless they did some kind of fucking supergroup. But as far as other companies, New Japan doesn’t have anything like us, IMPACT doesn’t have anything like us, WWE doesn’t have anything like us. The closest thing WWE has is The Usos and it’s not the same thing.”
