A sequel to the 2019 sleeper hit Crawl is officially moving forward and is eyeing a fall shoot. THR reports that a follow-up to the alligator attack film is in development and is looking to shoot in Europe.

Andrew Deutschman and Jason Pagan are writing the script to the new film, with Alexandre Aja returning to direct. The film will feature a new cast and will be set in New York City.

The 2019 film starred Kaya Scodelario and Barry Pepper as an estranged daughter and father who end up caught in a home in Florida in the middle of a Category 5 hurricane with a pack of alligators who attack. The movie was a hefty hit with $91.5 million worldwide against a $14 million budget.
