Hey kids! Steve Cook here with you for the latest edition of WWE NXT on the CW! We’ve got six big matches scheduled for tonight, including a street fight between Tony D’Angelo & Naraku for the NXT Championship! It looks like it’ll be a fun show, hopefully I’ll be right!

Robert Stone tells a referee that Tony D’Angelo & Naraku can’t touch before the main event. Thea Hail wants to talk to Stone, but Nattie interrupts to let them know that she’s ending Jaida Parker. Nattie leaves, and Robbie leaves Thea without any actual conversation had. Vic Joseph & Booker T are our hosts, and we get right to the action!

DarkState (Dion Lennox, Osiris Griffin & Cutler James) vs. Saquon Shugars, Noam Dar & Romeo Moreno: Shugars, Dar & Moreno attack right away, but DarkState gets the upperhand. Dar starts off with Lennox, gets a near-fall but also gets booted. Shugars tags in and Lennox tags out. Shugars & Griffin go at it, Griffin with a slam, he makes the tag to James, they elbow him down. Shugars gets smacked around by James & Griffin, boots Griffin, Moreno tags in after some awkward spots, he hits a double stomp. Dar & Moreno with a high-low, all the DarkState end up outside so Moreno & Dar can dive on them. They set up the triple powerbomb through the table on Lennox, James & Griffin break it up. DarkState stand over Shugars as we go Nonstop NXT.

Dar ends up the face in peril as Griffin Northern Lights’ him for two. James tags in, hits some shots to Dar and then a gutbuster gets two. Griffin launches Dar into an uppercut from James for two. Dar whipped hard into the corner, Griffin hits a Vader Bomb for two. Lennox tags in to work over Dar with a chinlock. Back suplex by Lennox as we return full screen.

We go back full screen and Dar avoids a couple of corner charges and tags in Shugars. Shugars kicks Lennox on the floor. Twisting crossbody lands on James & Griffin. Falcon arrow into a dropkick gets two on James. Shugars sends Lennox to the apron and knocks him to the floor. James swings the momentum with a backbreaker. Moreno eats an uppercut. Shugars avoids the powerbomb and ranas for two. Shugars with an enziguri to Lennox. Moreno tags in, he does a springboard crossbody on the floor. Shugars does a running DVD on Lennox and they go through a wall! The fans chant about fecal matter while Moreno gets taken out with a pump kick. Griffin & James hit a double powerbomb on Moreno for three.

Winners: DarkState (9:27 via pinfall)

Lizzy Rain talks about how chaotic things are around here. Thea talks about how she can’t get any opportunities. Skylar Raye talks about finally getting a match tonight, then Kendal Grey blames Jaida Parker for everyone’s issues with Nattie. Wren Sinclair tries to smooth it over, Kendal & Lola Vice will have a face to face next!

Kendal Grey & Wren Sinclair make their way to the ring. Lola Vice then makes her way to the ring. Olas are exchanged, and Kendal is glad to face Lola. Lola says she worked too hard for too long to step to the side. Kendal will dominate one day, but she’s not done. She waited for everyone else to have their time. Kendal says that Lola became everything people thought she would be, then she ran into her. Lola says that when Kendal arrived all she saw was someone that needed validation. Kendal says that her title is validation, and she didn’t need years to prove that she belonged like Lola did. Lola says that with or without the title she looks like a champion. She knows herself & her worth, Kendal is shy, insecure & vulnerable. Kendal says she’s not weak, she’s honest with herself and everyone, and no one can beat her at her best. Lola says Kendal beat her one time in one match, Kendal can’t beat her in a fight. Wren doesn’t like where this is going, but Kendal decides she likes the idea and will be able to prove herself. Lola says that on August 4 they’ll meet in the Underground. Kendal says it’ll be Lola’s match on Lola’s turf. Lola calls Kendal a “pick me girl”, and Kendal says that after she’s done kicking Lola’s ass, Lola can just continue shaking it.

We see a video package covering the issues between Tony D’Angelo & Naraku.

Hank Walker (w/Tank Ledger) vs. Keanu Carver: Hank runs right into some abuse before punching Carver in the corner. Carver with an elbow, Tank with a knee, Hank charges Carver on the ropes, then hits a big boot. Carver knocks Hank outside, but Hank comes back in and hits a twisting slam for two. Carver whips Hank hard into the corner, then backbreaks him. Elbow drops by Carver, then a Northern Lariat. Carver hits a fallaway slam, covers for two. Tank is really over the top with the encouragement here, Carver takes offense and sends him into the steps. Hank dives onto Carver on the floor. Carver tries to lift Hank and Hank sends him into the ringpost. Back in the ring, Hank hits a flying forearm. Hank goes up top, Carver avoids the clothesline and tosses Hank to the mat. He whips Hank down with a modified Alabama Slam that gets the three count.

Winner: Keanu Carver (4:28 via pinfall)

Tank sends Carver outside, but Carver drops him on the announce table. Carver gets the steps, but EK Prosper comes in from the crowd and breaks that up. Hank & Tank do their finishers on Carver and Prosper hits the moonsault.

Nattie is walking with Karmen & Nikkita and she tells Thea that she’d love to help her become relevant again since whatever she’s doing isn’t working. She can be a legend like Nattie or a soft bitch like Jaida. Thea likes Jaida and calls Nattie a bitch. Nattie and friends walk off and Thea hopes Jaida kicks her ass.

Jaida Parker vs. Nattie (w/Nikkita Lyons & Karmen Petrovic): Can you really be a low key legend if you have it written on the back of your jacket and your tights? I’m not convinced of this. Jaida gets an early advantage before getting distracted by Nattie’s girls for a near-fall. Big slap by Jaida, Nattie with a headlock that Jaida fights out of. Panda Express is sponsoring this match, nice to see WWE & pandas back on the same page after all these years. Nattie begs off into the ropes while Jaida talks smack. Jaida works Nattie’s arm and calls her a bitch, Nattie kicks her off and they exchange slaps. Jaida clotheslines Nattie down two times, gets her on the middle rope and hits the butt smash. Nattie avoids the Hip-notic by getting pulled outside. Jaida kicks Karmen, then Nattie attacks her knee.

We go to Nonstop NXT with Jaida being put back in the ring and worked over. Nattie does the figure four on the ringpost gimmick then celebrates with her girls. Nattie elbowdrops the knee back in the ring and works a leglock. Jaida gets out of it, but Nattie stays on the attack. Nattie switches to some other leglock and Jaida works right out of it into the Rings of Saturn. Nattie’s close to the ropes though, and she makes it there for the break. Nattie goes for a Sharpshooter, Jaida kicks her off.

We go back full screen and Nattie hits the discus lariat for two. Nattie dragonscrews Jaida on the middle rope, then whips her leg to the mat. Jaida avoids another discus lariat and tries a Samoan Drop, but Jaida’s knee gives out. Nattie still feels enough of an effect from getting dropped, and they exchange shots. Rollthrough, reversals, Jaida hits a Falcon Arrow for two. Jaida goes for the buttsmash in the corner again, Nattie avoids it this time and hits a Michinoku Driver for two. Nattie goes for the Sharpshooter and locks it in. Will Jaida tap out again? She crawls out of the ring instead, and that breaks the hold. Jaida bounces Nattie’s knee into the steps, and the girls check on Nattie while the referee counts. Jaida chop blocks Nattie, then goes for a Sharpshooter of her own. She locks it in! Jaida pulls her to the middle and the girls fight over a towel to throw in the ring. Nikkita wants to throw it in, Karmen is trying to keep her from doing so. The camera goes away from them and we see the towel fly into the ring for the submission!

Winner: Jaida Parker (11:40 via corner stoppage)

We find out that Thea Hail came in and threw the towel in to cause the submission! That doesn’t seem proper, but it seems to stand as the official decision.

We continue our look at the Tony D’Angelo/Naraku feud.

Kelani Jordan shows Robert Stone how she was robbed last week, but Stone’s not buying her “slow count” idea and says the referee’s decision is final. Kelani is outraged and walks off. OTM comes up and they talk about Heatwave. Stone says they need to decide whether Bronco Nima will be working the NXT show as part of OTM or on the AAA show with Los Perros del Mal. No decision as of yet, but you can see Lucien Price’s annoyance.

Niko Vance (w/Izzi Dame) vs. Shawn Spears: Spears attacks from behind as Niko is distracted by a chair and a spotlight. Vance & Spears fight outside. Spears avoids being sent into the steps and catches Vance with some shots. Back in the ring, Vance with an elbowblock. Spears with some chops, Vance with some punches, Spears hits a Thesz press and hits some punches. Vance fights back with a clothesline out of the corner. Vance works Spears over in the corner while Izzi mocks him. Spears fights back with a clothesline. Vance goes outside, Spears goes up top but Izzi gets Vance out of the way. Spears finds Vance on the other side of the ring and suplexes him on the floor. Spears teases a chokeslam on the table, Izzi distracts him and Vance ends up slamming Spears on the floor as we go to commercial.

We return & Spears kicks Vance in the corner. More chops from Spears. Vace fights back before getting tossed outside. Spears still selling his back, Vance goes up top but Spears yanks him off to the mat. Manhattan drops by Spears with some chops. Flying forearm and a clothesline by Spears. Vance with a headbutt, then a DDT gets two. Vance thinks it was three, it was not. Spears wants more abuse and rolls outside. Vance gets bounced into the steps and rolled back in the ring. Spears goes and gets the chair, he squares up but the referee isn’t having it and neither is Izzy. She’s on the apron, Lizzy Rain appears and attacks her! While the referee looks at Izzi & Lizzy fighting, Spears pulls the old Eddie Guerrero trick and tosses the chair to Vance while dropping to the mat. The referee sees Vance standing over Spears with the chair and calls for the disqualification!

Winner: Shawn Spears (7:33 shown via disqualification)

Stone wants to know about Kam Hendrix’s health status, he’s at 67.2%. Myles Borne & Tavion Heights appear and Myles asks Stone for a tag team championship match. Myles offers to defend the North American Championship next week if he & Tavion can get a Tag Team Championship match. Stone agrees to that, and Kam reveals that the medical team just cleared him. Stone says that if he is actually cleared, they can do Borne vs. Hendrix next week & Borne/Heights vs. Vanity Project the week after.

We see the Reina Volcan hype video from last week, she makes her debut next!

Skylar Raye vs. Reina Volcan: The Pop Meter makes its return and once again it’s not matching anything actually going on with the sound level. Maybe they should do it with someone that screams their entire entrance. Tieup gets Skylar dropped, then slammed. Reina shoudlerblocks Skylar down, then there’s a big powerslam. Reina misses in the corner, Skylar with some shots. Some gymnastics and a smash in the corner, but Reina answers with a backbreaker and an elbowdrop for two. Reina bends Skylar’s arms back. Skylar flips out and kicks Reina. Skylar evades some punches and hits some of her own, then a shoulderblock takes Reina down. La Mistica variation gets two for Skylar. Skylar gets yanked off the top rope to the canvas, then Reina locks in a Torture Rack that gets the submission.

Winner: Reina Volcan (3:07 via submission)

Stone offers Shiloh some popcorn chicken. Shiloh says he isn’t cursed. He has an energy that can’t be controlled with Angels around. Angels needs to be put down. Stone books a Hill vs. Angels match for next week, then Hill is happy and takes the boxes of popcorn chicken for himself.

A van pulls up and a door opens, but we go to commercial before seeing who gets out.

Next Week: Shiloh Hill vs. Tristian Angels! Myles Borne vs. Kam Hendrix! Lizzy Rain vs. Izzi Dame!

NXT Championship Street Fight: Tony D’Angelo vs. Naraku: They will be starting this match in the ring, maybe they’ll go to the parking lot later. Tony gets misted right away, then clotheslined over the top rope. Naraku sends Tony into the barricade, then into the steps. Back in the ring, Naraku has the steps and rams them into Tony. Cover gets two. Naraku finds a trash can, some chairs & kendo sticks under the ring. Who puts all this stuff under there? Naraku takes a chair to Tony’s back, then props a trash can in the corner. Naraku slams Tony, then sets some chairs up for a slam onto them. It’s a vertical suplex through four chairs that gets two. Booker T relates his hatred for Fit Finlay when asked if he ever hated someone so much that he’d go to these lengths. Naraku misses a stomp and that breaks a chair. Tony backdrops Naraku onto a couple of chairs. Tony gets some water in his eyes to rinse them out, then slams Naraku into the barricade.

We go to Nonstop NXT while both men are down. Tony takes Naraku backstage into the Gorilla position and gets choked with cable by Naraku. They make their way back into the arena and Tony suplexes Naraku on the floor. Naraku goes back in the ring and gets a kendo stick, Tony gets a tire iron and hits Naraku with it. They go outside and Naraku sends Tony into the ringpost. Naraku finds a ladder under the ring and puts it in the ring.

Tony kicks it into Naraku as we go back full-screen. He then tosses the ladder down into Naraku. Tony finds a table and the fans are now happy. Tony sets up the Slim Jim table. They tease using it, but Tony ends up catapulting Naraku into the trash can for two. Naraku chops Tony in the throat and crotches him on the top rope before knocking him to the floor with a clothesline. Naraku was looking for something under the ring, he can’t find it before Tony hits him with a ladder. Naraku avoids the announce table and hits Enter the Abyss on the floor. He then drops Tony through the announce table and the fans chant obscenities. A cover in the ring gets two. Tony blocks the mist with his hands, then rubs it in Naraku’s face! Tony hits Naraku with the kendo stick, then raises it between Naraku’s legs. Tony sets Naraku up for Dead to Rights through the table, he hits it and gets the three count!

Winner: Tony D’Angelo (12:04 via pinfall)

Tony celebrates until some music hits. That’s Mike Santana! Santana, identified by the announcers as “the former TNA Champion” walks through the crowd as Tony D looks on and holds his title in the air. That’s how our live event comes to an end, so long for now!
