Nick Aldis Comments On His In-Ring Future Post-SummerSlam 2026

Nick Aldis is firmly focused on his match with Gunther at WWE SummerSlam and doesn’t want to look ahead as far as his in-ring future is concerned. Aldis is set to step inside a WWE ring for the first time since joining the company as SmackDown General Manager in October 2023 this weekend.

During a recent appearance on INSIGHT with Chris Van Vliet, Aldis was asked about his in-ring future should he defeat The Ring General at SummerSlam. In response, the former TNA World Champion said that he is firmly focused on delivering to the best of his abilities at SummerSlam and has no expectations coming out of it.

Here’s what Nick Aldis said:

“I would say that that puts Gunther’s boss in a pretty high caliber of competition. I have to just concentrate on what’s in front of me. I have to deliver at SummerSlam. As far as I’m concerned, I am treating this as one match. I have no expectations. I had none coming in. I have none coming out. I just have to deliver, and trust my boss that whatever comes next is the right thing to do.”
