A new report has details on the upcoming AEW Fight Forever game, including the reported roster size and more. Fightful Select reports that the game’s roster sits at about 50 names, and that there will be some “unfortunate notable omissions” in its first release. BodySlam.net reported today that Owen Hart is set to be featured in the game and Fightful Select adds that Sting, CM Punk, Bryan Danielson, Adam Cole, and Ruby Soho are all confirmed for the roster.

The report notes that Kenny Omega’s needed time off to rest up from injuries ended up being a fortunate situation, as they are in the home stretch of the game’s production and Omega has gone “above and beyond” to help in any way he can. He is said to have been a major part in getting WWF No Mercy game director Hideyuki “Geta” Iwashita on the game, with Iwashita’s contributions being a big help. AEW music producer Mikey Rukus has also done a lot of work for the game. THQ Nordic is said to be involved, but that has not been announced and their involvement thus far has reportedly been minimal.

There is still a lot of work to be done in terms of polish on the game, notably regarding character models, and there have been pitches and discussions around downloadable content. There is also a lot of online work to be done, which tends to be the case at this stage of a game’s production cycle.

It was reported last month that Fight Forever is tentatively set to release in late September, but that is still not yet confirmed. A gameplay sneak peek is set to be released tomorrow.
